Our practice serves patients with a wide range of chronic and complex medical needs, including sleep apnea, COPD, asthma, chronic cough, shortness of breath, pulmonary nodules, oxygen needs, and other cardiopulmonary concerns.</p><p>We are seeking a motivated, dependable, and clinically curious <strong>Physician Assistant / Advanced Practice Provider</strong> who wants more than a routine job. This is an opportunity to join a physician-led specialty practice, grow in pulmonary and sleep medicine, and become an important part of a team that is expanding its impact across multiple communities.</p><h2>Position Summary</h2><p>The ideal candidate will be a professional, adaptable, and patient-focused provider who can support high-quality care across our current clinic locations in <strong>Fayetteville and Cary</strong>, as well as any future clinic locations as the practice continues to grow.</p><p>This position is best suited for someone who enjoys outpatient specialty medicine, values continuity of care, communicates well with patients and staff, and is comfortable working in a collaborative environment with physicians and other members of the care team.</p><p>Pulmonary and sleep medicine experience is <strong>preferred but not required</strong>. We are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates strong clinical judgment, professionalism, reliability, and a genuine interest in learning the specialty.</p><h2>Required Clinic Coverage</h2><p>This is a <strong>multi-location role</strong>. The selected candidate must be willing and able to provide coverage at both the <strong>Fayetteville</strong> and <strong>Cary</strong> clinic locations based on practice needs.</p><p>As the practice grows, the candidate will also be expected to provide coverage at <strong>any additional or subsequent clinic locations</strong> opened by the practice in the future. Flexibility, dependability, and willingness to support the broader needs of the organization are essential for this role.</p><h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><p>The Physician Assistant / Advanced Practice Provider will work collaboratively with the supervising physician and clinical team to provide comprehensive outpatient pulmonary and sleep medicine care.</p><p>Responsibilities may include:</p><ul><li><p>Evaluate and manage patients with pulmonary and sleep-related conditions.</p></li><li><p>Obtain complete medical histories and perform focused physical examinations.</p></li><li><p>Review and interpret relevant diagnostic information, including pulmonary testing, imaging reports, laboratory results, and sleep study findings, within scope of practice and under appropriate physician collaboration.</p></li><li><p>Develop assessment and treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physician.</p></li><li><p>Provide care for patients with conditions such as obstructive sleep apnea, insomnia, COPD, asthma, chronic cough, dyspnea, pulmonary nodules, oxygen needs, and other respiratory concerns.</p></li><li><p>Educate patients on disease processes, medications, inhaler use, CPAP/BiPAP therapy, sleep hygiene, lifestyle changes, and follow-up care.</p></li><li><p>Support PAP therapy management, adherence discussions, mask/interface concerns, compliance requirements, and durable medical equipment coordination.</p></li><li><p>Order appropriate diagnostic testing, referrals, medications, and follow-up visits in accordance with licensure, practice protocols, and supervising physician guidance.</p></li><li><p>Complete timely, accurate, and compliant documentation in the electronic medical record.</p></li><li><p>Communicate effectively with patients, families, referring providers, pharmacies, DME companies, and other members of the care team.</p></li><li><p>Help maintain smooth clinic flow and support efficient patient care across locations.</p></li><li><p>Participate in quality improvement, workflow improvement, and practice growth initiatives.</p></li><li><p>Maintain professionalism, compassion, confidentiality, eligible North Carolina Physician Assistant license.</p></li><li><p>NCCPA certification.</p></li><li><p>DEA registration or eligibility to obtain DEA registration.</p></li><li><p>Ability to work full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.</p></li><li><p>Ability and willingness to work at both Fayetteville and Cary locations.</p></li><li><p>Ability and willingness to provide coverage at future therapy, sleep study review, or DME coordination.</p></li><li><p>Experience in internal medicine, family medicine, urgent care, hospital medicine, cardiology, ICU, respiratory care, or chronic disease management.</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with pulmonary function testing, oxygen therapy, inhaler education, and chronic respiratory conditions.</p></li><li><p>Experience with outpatient specialty care
